COPIA LANDING PAGE REDESIGN
Copia is a Y Combinator startup that lets businesses and events donate their extra food to feed those in need, instantly. Companies can use the app to order a food pickup after any event and Copia will retrieve the fare and drop it off at a local shelter. So far, Copia has collected more than 830K pounds of food, fed more than 700K and saved businesses more than 4.6M dollars in tax write-offs.
Given the company's success, they needed to redesign the landing page for their website. They asked me to redesign their landing page, a banner that they would use at their events and some swag within three days. I did primary and secondary research, evaluated the assets and hierarchy of their current website, did wireframes and finalized the visual design for the landing page. This was followed by the event banner, the t-shirt and a hoodie for donators and employees.
My first challenge was getting to understand Copia's goals and values. As a startup, I knew that many of them were not well defined yet. This was a great opportunity for me to define their personality with part of the visual design. It was important to determine how the company wants to be seen.

Evaluating the information and assets that were on the current landing page was very important. I had to determine the hierarchy of the information that was on their current website and decide on what needed to stay and what did not.
Given the stage where the company is, I needed to design a landing page that would fit their current and future needs as they scale. It was important to show where the company is now, but more importantly to fit the needs of a fast growing company.
